CONE HEALTH CANCER CENTER
The infusion room at the new Cone Health Cancer Center features a wall of art glass comprised of 6 panels 36" x 78" each. The glass art is based on a photograph taken by the artist of the Haw River which runs near the medical center. The beautiful 110 mile river is considered endangered, but able to be restored. The Haw provides habitat for wildlife, drinking water, recreational and scenic areas. The artist's photograph includes the reflection of an inactive brick textile mill, one of many standing along the edge of the Haw. The interpretation rendered in glass brings light and color to the river. VIEW ARTICLE: "Beautiful, Bright and Fantastic" |
